There are two famous foods.
One is "Green-Soft".  This is ice cream of the green-tea taste.
The other one is best seller ramen noodles of Wakayama.
These ramen noodles are the very light tastes on which "tenkasu" and wakame seaweed and ginger.

This is Forte Wajima.

Although the building of the long-established department store "Marusho department store" which started business in 1891 and went bankrupt in 2001 is used, inside of a hall is remodeled completely.
In the underground, the hot bath institution using a natural hot spring is also put side by side.

History of Burakuri

After this whole place is burned down by a conflagration in 1830 (Fumimasa 13 years), it is the beginning of a shopping center that the merchants treating food, clothing, etc. have gathered.
It is said to be the origin of the name of ぶらくり丁 that the merchants had decorated the ぶらくって (mind to hang) front with goods.

Generally it is used as a general term of six shopping centers of Hommachi , Burakuri-cho, Naka-Burakuri-cho, The east burakuri-cho, Main street of Burakuri-cho , and The north Burakuri-cho.
